Jordan McClure-Williams Named Southwestern College Head Men's & Women's Golf Coach and Assistant Sports Information Director

WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern College Athletic Director Matt O'Brien has announced the hiring of Jordan McClure-Williams as the college's new head men's and women's golf coach and assistant sports information director.

McClure-Williams joins Southwestern College from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where she most recently served as the Associate Director of Athletic Marketing & Communications. In that role, she oversaw communications and marketing efforts for 11 of the university's 20 varsity sports while coordinating game-day operations, media relations, statistical reporting, website management, digital storytelling, and brand promotion.

McClure-Williams is no stranger to the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. A native of The Colony, Texas, she competed collegiately at Sterling College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Her experience as a student-athlete in the KCAC provides firsthand knowledge of the conference, its institutions, and the competitive landscape.

"We are excited to welcome Jordan to the Southwestern College family," O'Brien said. "She brings an outstanding combination of collegiate coaching and athletic communications experience that will immediately benefit our department. Jordan is passionate about student-athlete development, relationship building, and telling the stories of college athletics. We believe she will have a tremendous impact on both our golf programs and our athletic communications team."

McClure-Williams also served as the assistant men's and women's golf coach at Southwestern University from 2022-24. During her time with the program, she assisted with recruiting, tournament preparation, travel coordination, player development, practice planning, and competitive strategy while helping student-athletes achieve success on and off the course.

McClure-Williams earned a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee, where her graduate studies emphasized sport psychology and the application of mental performance techniques to improve confidence, communication, concentration, and performance. Her passion for developing student-athletes extends beyond the physical aspects of the game, focusing on building confidence, improving composure under pressure, and enhancing team communication and cohesion.

In addition to her collegiate coaching and communications experience, McClure-Williams worked as a golf instructor at Topgolf in The Colony, Texas, teaching youth athletes through the company's Summer Academy, and as a golf shop attendant at Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas.
