NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – On Saturday in North Newton, Kan., the Southwestern College dance team competed in their second competition of the season at the Thresher Invitational hosted by Bethel College. At the conclusion of the day, the squad finished in 11th place out of the 12 competing institutions.
Samantha Buffalo, Ashley Cockram, Amari Lowe, Annika Newby, and Taisha Williams performed the team's competition routine at the event, racking up 47.3 points as a group.
The squad will now compete at the Baker Classic in Baldwin City, Kan. at Baker University next weekend. The event will be held on Saturday, February 12, and will be the team's final tune up before the KCAC Dance Championships on Friday, February 18 back in North Newton.
