WINFIELD, Kan. – Four Southwestern College Moundbuilders earned honorable mention honors in the 2024 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) men's soccer season.
Adrian Gimenez, a freshman defender from Madrid, Spain, played in all 16 games, starting every match for the Moundbuilders. Gimenez was a constant presence on the field, totaling 1,267 minutes. His season-high of two shots came in a 1-0 win at Evangel on October 23.
Jack Bagley-Etheridge, a junior midfielder from Hoddesdon, England, contributed both offensively and defensively throughout the season. Bagley-Etheridge scored 6 goal and 3 assists, including a game-winning strike against Ottawa on October 2. He also totaled 12 shots and 9 shots on goal in his 16 appearances.
Connor Inlow, a junior midfielder from Wichita, Kan., had an outstanding performance in the 2024 season, tallying 5 goals and 1 assist. His season included a standout performance against Sterling on October 19, where he scored twice and contributed four shots on goal. Inlow finished with 15 shots and 7 shots on target over 17 appearances, making him one of the team's offensive leaders.
Marcos Benavidez, a freshman forward from Las Vegas, Nev., rounded out the quartet of Moundbuilders earning honorable mention accolades. Benavidez was a key offensive weapon for the Moundbuilders, scoring 5 goals and adding 2 assists. He had a memorable performance in the game at Bethany on September 21, scoring twice and tallying two shots on goal. Benavidez appeared in 17 matches, contributing significantly to the Moundbuilders' attacking efforts.
These players helped lead Southwestern College to a competitive season, and their efforts were recognized by the KCAC for their skill and determination on the field.
