WINFIELD, KAN. – On Monday, March 18
th, the Southwestern College Men's Golf team hosted the Jinx Invitational at Winfield Country Club in Winfield, Kan. The Builders showcased impressive performances and finished the tournament in 3
rd place. The Builders were led by a strong second-place finish by
Aaron Delgado as individual.
- Aaron Delgado demonstrated consistency with a strong Round 1 score of 71, followed by a competitive front nine in Round 2, where he scored 38, totaling 109.
- Jackson Strohl also delivered a notable performance, recording scores of 80 in Round 1 and 43 on the front nine of Round 2, resulting in a total of 123.
- Emmet Murphy showcased skill, posting an initial score of 87 in Round 1 and improving with a score of 38 on the front nine of Round 2, ending with a total of 125.
- Charlie Bentley scored 81 in Round 1 and 48 on the front nine of Round 2, resulting in a total of 129.
- Caleb White showed steady play, finishing with a total score of 130 after scoring 88 in Round 1 and 42 on the front nine of Round 2.
- Micah Jump also contributed with a total score of 139, combining his Round 1 score of 90 with a front-nine score of 49 in Round 2.
- Brayden Arnott totaled 141 with a Round 1 score of 94 and a front-nine score of 47 in Round 2.
- Jake Rhodes posted a total of 133, with scores of 86 in Round 1 and 47 on the front nine of Round 2.
- Hayden Smith concluded with a total score of 150, scoring 95 in Round 1 and 55 on the front nine of Round 2.
Despite the individual successes, the team finished in 3rd place overall with a combined score of 485.
The Builders will be back on March 25-26, when they compete at the Staco Spring Classic at the Deuce National - Parkville, MO
