WICHITA, Kan. — The Southwestern College men's golf team opened its spring season with a fourth-place finish at the Crestview Spring Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday at Crestview Country Club.
The Moundbuilders posted team scores of 297, 301 and 301 for a three-round total of 899.
Jordan Clancy led Southwestern with rounds of 69, 73 and 73 to finish at 215, tying for fourth place individually. Cameron Surles also recorded a top-10 finish, tying for eighth after shooting rounds of 74, 74 and 71 for a 219 total.
Clancy and Surles were both named to the All-Tournament Team for their performances.
Jackson Payne finished with rounds of 76, 77 and 80 for a 233 total, while Drew Graham shot 78, 77 and 83 to finish at 238. Sebastian Read carded rounds of 76, 84 and 86 to post a 242.
Nico Neuteboom competed as an individual and shot rounds of 76, 84 and 86 to finish with a 246 total.
Southwestern's fourth-place showing provides a strong starting point for the Moundbuilders' spring season.
The team will return to action April 6-7 at the Midwest National Spring Invitational, hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University.
