WINFIELD, Kan. - The Southwestern College men's tennis team encountered a formidable challenge against McPherson College, falling short, 0-7.
From the onset, the McPherson College duo of Brouwer and Marcano set the tone with a commanding victory against Southwestern's
Magnus Hauska and Soleymon Claiborne, 0-6. Meanwhile, Nardy and Schmidt of McPherson secured another win against Jeremiah Johnson and
Suede Wanamaker, 0-6.
Transitioning to singles play, McPherson maintained their momentum, Nardy defeated Southwestern's Hauska, 3-6, 3-6. Additionally, Brouwer defeated Southwestern's Johnson, 6-0, 6-1 and Schmidt defeated Southwestern's Claiborne, 6-2, 6-0. The trend continued with Johnson defeating Southwestern's Wanamaker, 6-1, 6-0.
The Builders will be on road, Monday, April 15, at Kansas Wesleyan University, 3pm.Â
