WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern senior opposite hitter Autumn Bennett, a Sandy, Utah, native, has been named to the KCAC Third Team All-Conference after a standout first season with the Moundbuilders.
Bennett transferred to Southwestern this fall from Nicholls State University and quickly became the focal point of the Builders' attack. She led the team with 247 kills, averaging 2.63 per set, and finished with 632 total attacks while hitting .218 on the season. She also added 42 digs and 33 total blocks, contributing on both sides of the net.
Her impact extended beyond the stat sheet, providing a competitive edge and consistent presence throughout the year. Southwestern head coach Ken Brokaw praised Bennett's immediate influence on the program.
"Autumn has been an incredible addition to our team this year. She's without a doubt one of the best opposites in the conference," Brokaw said. "She plays with a power that's fun to watch, and she performed at a high level all season, including some of her best matches against top competition. We're ecstatic she'll be returning next year."
A general studies major, Bennett is classified as a senior but will return next season for her fifth year of eligibility, giving the Moundbuilders a proven offensive weapon heading into 2026. Her all-conference honor caps an impressive debut season in the KCAC and sets the stage for an impactful final year with the program.
