North Newton, Kan. — The Southwestern men's tennis team put up a determined effort on the road Monday but fell 7-0 to a strong Bethel College (Kan.) squad in KCAC play.
The Threshers set the tone early, sweeping doubles with efficient performances to secure the opening point. Despite Southwestern's competitive energy, Bethel's pairs executed well, taking each match 6-0.
In singles, Southwestern continued to fight, but Bethel maintained its momentum, winning all six matches in straight sets. Jeremiah Jones, Drake Lowe, Conner Stampley, and Kobie Schlegel showed grit in their matches, making their opponents work for each point.
Southwestern looks to bounce back in its upcoming matches as they continues to gain experience and progress through the season.
