Lady Builders Post Strong Performances at Dean Pryor Invitational in Coffeyville
WINFIELD, Kan. — The Southwestern College women's indoor track team had an impressive showing at the Dean Pryor Invitational in Coffeyville, Kansas, as they continue to build on their strong performances this season.
Several Lady Builders set new personal records, highlighting the team's commitment to growth and success.
Kyah Hill stole the spotlight with a stellar performance in the 200m, setting a new lifetime best with a time of 24.65. Not only did she shave 0.46 seconds off her previous personal record, but she also broke the school record, surpassing
Rachel Booker's 2022 mark of 24.93. Hill's victory in the women's 200m was a testament to her dedication and hard work.
Teammates
Mikyeashia Wilson (13.76) and
Abigail Eckert (27.83) also posted lifetime bests in the 100m and 200m events, respectively. Wilson's performance in the 100m demonstrated her impressive progress, while Eckert continues to make strides in the 200m.
In the field events,
Malia Pearson impressed in the shot put with a throw of 10.44m, marking a new personal record.
Vanessa Mendoza also showcased her strength in the discus, achieving a lifetime best of 30.86m.
