WICHITA, Kan. — The Southwestern College track and field teams delivered impressive performances at the Friends Spring Invite held last week in Wichita, continuing their strong outdoor season. Despite a quick turnaround after the Cowley meet, the Builders showed remarkable resilience, with both the men's and women's teams securing top finishes and setting several personal and season bests.
Kyah Hill led the women's team with a standout second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in a personal-best time of 25.26 seconds. On the men's side, Dalton Morrison earned a third-place finish in the javelin throw, reaching a mark of 48.81 meters.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team also made significant strides, posting a season-best time of 49.92 seconds. The relay team, comprised of

Abigail Eckert, and
Kyah Hill, continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
In addition to these team highlights, several athletes achieved personal or season-best performances:
- Meliah Hanna posted a season-best time of 12.89 in the 100-meter dash.
- Abigail Eckert ran a personal-best time of 13.30 in the same event.
- Malia Pearson set a personal record in the hammer throw with a mark of 25.65 meters.
