Lady Builders Finish 5th at Bethany College Classic
WINFIELD, Kan. — The Southwestern College women's golf team wrapped up a two-day tournament at the Bethany College Classic, held at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kansas, with a strong team showing that earned them a fifth-place finish.
The Lady Builders were tested by challenging conditions and a competitive field throughout the event. Laurent Kelly led the team with a +26 finish, followed by
Ashlee Johnson at +29.
Mollie Todd contributed a steady performance at +23, while
Jodi Keener posted a +39. Valery Tomadakis rounded out the group with a +55.
"This week was a very good test for our girls," said head coach
Marcus Willey. "It was an up-and-down week for us, but we saw many positives that we will take into the conference championship next week."
The Lady Builders will now shift their focus to the upcoming conference tournament, looking to carry the momentum from this performance into postseason play.
