WICHITA, Kan.  — Lauren Kelly posted a top-10 finish to lead Southwestern College at the Friends University Spring Invite, a two-day, 36-hole tournament held at Tallgrass Country Club.

Competing as individuals, Kelly and teammate Jodi Keener represented the Moundbuilders in the event. Kelly improved by eight strokes from the opening round to finish eighth overall. She carded a 95 (+24) on the first day before closing with an 87 (+16) in the final round.

Keener recorded consistent scores across both rounds, shooting 96 (+25) each day to finish tied for 15th place.

The tournament marked the spring season debut for Southwestern.

The Moundbuilders will return to action March 27-28 at the Graceland University Spring Invitational in Maryville, Missouri.
