Winfield, Kan. — Southwestern College returns to conference play looking to snap a skid as the Moundbuilders travel to face Bethany College in a KCAC softball series in Lindsborg.
Southwestern (5-23, 1-13 KCAC) enters the matchup seeking momentum after a challenging stretch, having dropped its last eight games. The Moundbuilders have struggled offensively at times this season, hitting .226 as a team while scoring 49 total runs through 26 games.
Despite the recent results, Southwestern has shown flashes at the plate behind Taylor Mesna, who leads the team with a .371 batting average and 26 hits, while Tiara Henry adds a .275 average and 19 hits on the season.
