WICHITA, KAN. - From January 25^th – 27^th, the Southwestern College men's and women's indoor track & field squads made their way up north to compete at the Wichita State Wilson Invitational in Wichita, Kan.
 
Here are the results:
 
Men's Track & Field:

• Jamell Toney-Black: Placed in the top 20 for Long Jump with a distance of 6.15m.
• Jack Titgemeyer: Debuting in heptathlon, secured a top 20 finish.
• Trevor Peterson: Achieved a top 20 finish in shot put with a season-best throw of 12.72m.
• Tegun Tews: Recorded his second fastest 400m time of the year, securing a top 20 finish.
• Kiare Worthy: Season-best in 60m (7.24) and top 25 finish in 200m (23.49).
• 4x400m Relay Team (Kyle Richarson, Kiare Worthy, Tegun Tews, Andrez Ramirez): Placed in the top 15.
• Jacob Baer: Opened the season with a time of 17:47 in the 5k.
• Jamell Sanchez: Achieved a personal best in the 3k with a time of 10:45.
• Logan Spradlin: Missed collegiate personal best with a pole vault of 3.30m.

 
Women's Track & Field:

• Alejandra Handie: Finished 12th in weight throw with a distance of 13.81m.
• Anzhelany Jordan and Keianna Harvell: Both finished in the top 20 in the 800m with times of 2:46.40 and 2:46.72, respectively.
• Vanvessa Mendoza: Achieved a personal season best in weight throw with a distance of 9.67m.
• Amethyst Thomas: Recorded her second-best weight throw of the season with a distance of 10.76m.

 
The Builder track and field squads will be back in action on Saturday 3^rd, when they compete at the Washburn University Meet.
