OMAHA, Neb. — The Southwestern College men's indoor track and field team competed in the KCAC Indoor Championships, where several Moundbuilder athletes delivered strong performances, set personal records, and earned all-conference honors.
Notable Performances
Despite finishing at the bottom of the team standings, the Moundbuilders recorded several standout performances.
Marshal Self placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.67, earning honorable mention all-conference honors.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Dominique Orosco, Kyle Richardson, Self, and Dashawn Haskin also secured a fifth-place finish, clocking in at 3:30.17 to earn honorable mention all-conference recognition.
Personal Bests
Several Moundbuilders set new career marks in their events:
- 60m Dash:Â Kyle Richardson (7.22), Jack Titgemeyer (7.29)
- 400m Dash:Â Dominique Orosco (52.37), Jack Titgemeyer (54.39)
- 200m Dash:Â Dominique Orosco (23.32), Chris Collier-Surly (24.04)
- 800m Run:Â Ricky Young (2:01.59)
- 60m Hurdles:Â Manuel Reyes (8.94, equaling personal best)
Jamell Sanchez recorded a season-best time of 5:17.59 in the mile, while Lyrix Howard matched his collegiate best in the high jump, clearing 1.80 meters.
