WINFIELD, Kan. - The men's and women's golf teams travels to Mariah Hills in Dodge City, Kan. to participate in this year's KCAC Match Play Tournament on October 14th-15th.

There will be a new format for this year's tournament. Both the men's and women's teams will play 18 holes on Monday morning to determine the seeding. However, the brackets are split up with the one through four seeds playing in one bracket, the five through eight seeds playing in a separate bracket, and the nine through twelve seeds playing in their own bracket as well. The men's and women's teams are looking to improve on their 8
th place and 7
th place finish last year, respectively.
The men's and women's golf team has found success early on as both programs won their first tournament of the fall season in the Jinx Invitational.

At their latest tournament, the men's team had a top 3 finish where they finished 3
rd at the Evangel Fall Invitational. The women's team finished 4
th. The men's team were led by freshman
Cameron Surles, sophomore
Jordan Clancy, and senior
Aaron Delgado, who all finished in the top 10 with a 4
th place, 7
th place, and T9
th place finish, individually.

The women's team had two top 15 place finishers with senior
Ashlee Johnson finishing T-10
th and junior
Lauren Kelly finishing 13
th place.

The men's team only have two players with match play experience, senior
Aaron Delgado and sophomore,
Emmett Murphy. While leaning on their experience, they have very talented golfers to round out the team.

Freshman
Cameron Surles already has two top 5 finishes in his collegiate career with a win at the Jinx Invitational and a 4
th place finish at the Evangel Fall Invitational and sophomore
Jordan Clancy has finished top 10 or better at each tournament this fall. Freshmen
Hunter Austin and
Christian Campbell round out the remaining two spots.
The women's team brings back three of their top five players from last year in senior
Ashlee Johnson and juniors
Lauren Kelly and
Jodi Keener. Senior
Kylee Woffinden and freshman
Mollie Todd will be filling in the other two spots in the top five. Freshman
Kelly Langford will be traveling, as an alternate.
