Golf Teams Wrap Up Falcon Cup Classic

WICHITA, Kan. — The Southwestern College Moundbuilders men's and women's golf teams wrapped up play Tuesday at the Falcon Cup Classic, hosted at Auburn Hills Golf Course. The Builders turned in a strong final round to close out the two-day tournament.

The men's team climbed the leaderboard on the final day, firing a team score of 297 in Round 3 to finish seventh overall (312-302-297--911). Jordan Clancy led the charge with a team-best 69, securing a tie for eighth individually. Nico Neuteboom carded a 76, Christian Campbell shot 74, Cameron Surles posted a 78, and Britt Blackshear added an 82.

Clancy's 69 on top of consistent rounds of 73 on both Monday rounds, as well as Surles and Campbell's steady play, helped push the Builders up two spots in the team standings in the final round.

On the women's side, three individuals represented Southwestern. Lauren Kelly led the group again with an 80, finishing 10th individually. Jodi Keener shot 92, and Lillian Goodwin improved with a 113. Kelly's performance followed her opening-round 81 on Monday.

The Moundbuilders now look ahead to the final tournament of the fall season: KCAC Match Play. This year's tournament will be held at Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City, Kansas on October 20th and 21st.
