DODGE CITY, Kan. — The Southwestern College men's and women's golf teams closed out their 2025 fall season at the KCAC Match Play Tournament this week at Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City, Kansas.
Both teams wrapped up Round 2 match play action Tuesday morning. On the women's side, the Moundbuilders turned in a strong performance, with Jodi Keener winning her match by one hole and Lauren Kelly earning a convincing five-hole victory. Lillian Goodwin also picked up a win after her opponent withdrew; Goodwin led by six through nine holes before the withdrawal.
The men's team battled Sterling College in Round 2 but came up just short, falling 3–2. Sebastian Read lost by five holes, Mitchell Lehman by two, and Christian Campbell by one. Jordan Clancy earned a two-hole win, while Cameron Surles forced extra holes after finishing tied through 18. Surles went on to win his match on the first playoff hole.
In Round 3, the women's team faced Oklahoma Wesleyan University and secured a 2–1 victory. Kelly once again led the way with a five-hole win, while Keener fell by three. Goodwin did not compete due to her previous opponent's withdrawal.
The men's team met Kansas Wesleyan University in Round 3, falling 4–0. Read lost by seven holes, Clancy by four, Campbell by eight, and Lehman by one. Surles did not finish his match after the overall team result had been mathematically decided. The Moundbuilders finished fourth overall in the KCAC Match Play Tournament.
With the fall portion of their season complete, both Southwestern squads will turn their attention to offseason preparation. The teams will look to build on their progress and return ready to compete when the 2026 spring season begins.
