DODGE CITY, Kan. — The Southwestern College men's and women's golf teams will close out their fall season on Oct. 20–21 at the KCAC Match Play Tournament, hosted at Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City, Kansas.
The event will feature a unique format compared to traditional tournaments. On the opening day, both teams will compete in an initial stroke play round to determine seeding for the match play portion of the event. The top four teams will advance to the "Gold" bracket, while seeds five through eight will compete in the "Silver" bracket. The remaining teams will be placed in the "Bronze" bracket for the final rounds. Both teams will then play a second round on Monday and a final round on Tuesday.
For the women's team, three Lady Builders will compete individually. Lauren Kelly, Jodi Keener, and Lillian Goodwin will represent Southwestern. Kelly enters the tournament coming off a strong performance at the Falcon Cup Classic, where she earned a top-10 finish.
On the men's side, Southwestern will field a full lineup with Jordan Clancy, Cameron Surles, Christian Campbell, Mitchell Lehman, Nicolas Kern, and Sebastian Read all set to compete. The Builders will look to make a strong statement to wrap up their fall campaign.
The KCAC Match Play marks the final opportunity of the fall season for both squads before they turn their focus toward spring competition.
