WICHITA, Kan. — The Southwestern College Moundbuilders men's and women's golf teams wrapped up the opening day of the Falcon Cup Classic on Monday at Auburn Hills Golf Course.
The men's team completed two rounds and sits in ninth place heading into Tuesday's final round. In Round 1, Jordan Clancy led the Builders with a 73, followed by Nico Nueteboom with a 79. Christian Campbell, Britt Blackshear and Cameron Surles each carded an 80, bringing the team total to 312.
Clancy matched his opening-round score with another 73 in Round 2, while Surles turned in a 74. Nueteboom added a 77, Campbell shot 78 and Blackshear finished with an 83. The second-round 302 moved the team to a day-one total of 618 through two rounds.
On the women's side, three individuals represented Southwestern. Lauren Kelly paced the group with an 81, while Jodi Keener recorded a 91 and Lillian Goodwin shot a 135 in the single round of the day.
Players battled through steady rain and soggy conditions throughout the opening round. With more rain in the forecast, Tuesday's final round could bring even softer conditions. With KCAC Matchplay in just a week, the Builders will look to gain momentum and heat up down the stretch of their 2025 Fall campaign.
