WINFIELD, Kan. — Kansas Wesleyan scored a goal in each half to edge Southwestern 2-1 on Senior Day in a tightly contested KCAC matchup Saturday evening at Richard L. Jantz Stadium.
The Coyotes struck first in the 29th minute when Noel Zimbeva found the back of the net to give Kansas Wesleyan the early advantage. Kansas Wesleyan regained the lead in the 60th minute when Brennen Lamont scored the eventual game-winner off a pass from Gonzalo Gaubeka. Despite the deficit, Southwestern continued to apply pressure late in the match, earning a pair of corner kicks and creating several attacking opportunities, but the Coyotes' defense held steady to preserve the one-goal margin.

Shae Wirt earned the win in goal for Kansas Wesleyan, recording one save in 90 minutes.
