STERLING, Kan. — The Southwestern College Moundbuilders pounded out 14 hits and held off a late Sterling rally to win 10–7 on Tuesday afternoon in Conference action.

The Moundbuilders (8–17, 4–10) scored in each of the first three innings to take early control and added key insurance runs in the sixth and seventh frames. Senior infielder Andrew Brautman led the offensive charge, going 4-for-6 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Southwestern's seventh-inning surge was highlighted by a two-run home run off the bat of Luca Dincola, a senior outfielder from Lakewood, Colorado. Dincola finished 2-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBIs.

Bryce  Nittler the designated hitter tallied three RBIs despite logging just one hit, thanks to two hit-by-pitches and a sacrifice. Raisean Dorsey, a junior infielder went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Skyler Espinoza, a freshman second baseman from Kyle, Texas, added two hits and two RBIs from the bottom of the lineup.

Senior right-hander Jason Kramlich earned the win, allowing three runs on four hits over 4.1 innings. Southwestern used four pitchers in total, with junior reliever Jaxon Burns of Willis, Texas, closing out the ninth.

Sterling College (8–22, 3–14) was led by left fielder Aiden Dutro, who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. The Warriors scored four runs over the final three innings but couldn't recover from an early deficit.

Southwestern returns to conference play Friday March 28 as they face York College .
