Moundbuilder Men's Golf Takes 5th at Bethany College Classic
WINFIELD, Kan. — The Southwestern College men's golf team turned in one of its strongest performances of the season this week, finishing fifth overall at the Bethany College Classic held at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas.
Leading the way for the Moundbuilders was
Cameron Surles, who claimed individual runner-up honors with a score of +3. Just behind him was teammate
Jordan Clancy, who finished third overall, also shooting +3 and contributing significantly to the team's overall score.
Rounding out the team were
Christian Campbell (+22), Nico Neuteboom (+27), and
Mitchell Lehman (+31), helping secure a solid team performance in a competitive field.
"This was our best men's performance of the entire year," said head coach Marcus. "I was really happy to see our guys play well after some struggles in the fall. We know we have the talent with this young group—it's about getting them to believe it and take it to the next course. This week was a great step forward for them realizing their potential."
