NEWTON, Kans. — The Southwestern College men's golf team will open its 2025 fall season at the Mid-South Tournament on Sept. 2-3 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
The Moundbuilders enter the year under new leadership, as first-year head coach Jackson Strohl takes over the program. Strohl, a Southwestern graduate and former member of the men's golf team, will guide a roster blending experience with new talent.
Among other signees, Southwestern returns four golfers from last season: junior Jordan Clancy and sophomores Mitchell Lehman, Nico Nueteboom, and Cameron Surles. The group will provide a veteran core as the Moundbuilders look to make a strong start to the fall schedule. The Moundbuilders will also look for contributions from freshmen Britt Blackshear and Nick Kerns as they make their collegiate debuts.
The two-day Mid-South Tournament will feature a competitive field, with teams from across the region teeing off at one of Kansas' premier public courses.
