WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern College will welcome a field of familiar faces when it hosts the Southwestern Fall Invite on Sept. 22-23 at Quail Ridge Golf Course.
On the men's side, the Moundbuilders will be represented by three full teams and three additional individuals, giving several golfers a chance to shine in a true tournament setting. Southwestern's "A" squad features Jordan Clancy, Cameron Surles, Nico Neuteboom, Christian Campbell and Britt Blackshear, while the "B" lineup includes Mitchell Lehman, Sebastian Read, Teagen Johnson, Sydney Schrant and Nicolas Kern. The "C" team will be composed of Drew DeMeyer, Jaxon Lustig, Garrett Woolsoncroft, Bransen Weatherly and Ian Rue.
Individually, Dillon Gruel, Seth Onofrio and Zeke Williams will also compete. The Builders enter their home event looking to build on momentum from their first two tournaments of the fall. With three full teams in play, the invite offers an opportunity for younger and emerging golfers to showcase their abilities under competitive conditions. The men will play 36 holes on Monday, followed by the final round on Tuesday,
On the women's side, Southwestern will be represented by three individuals. Lauren Kelly, Jodi Keener and Lillian Goodwin are set to compete, each aiming to improve their scores while navigating the familiar layout of Quail Ridge. The women's competition will feature 18 holes on both Monday and Tuesday.
After blistering heat last week, Southwestern will be tested yet again by nature, as both the men's and women's teams look to make a statement at their home course amid forecasted rain.
