OTTAWA, Kan. — Southwestern College will look to regain its footing in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play this weekend as it travels to Ottawa University for a three-game series.
The Moundbuilders (4-11, 1-5 KCAC) will face the Braves on Friday at 1 p.m. before concluding the series with a doubleheader Saturday. First pitch for Game 1 on Saturday is scheduled for noon.
Southwestern enters the weekend seeking to rebound after being swept by Tabor College in its most recent conference series. The Moundbuilders dropped all three contests to the Bluejays and will aim to reset against one of the conference's top teams.
Ottawa (14-1, 7-1 KCAC) has emerged as an early frontrunner in league play under head coach Jonathan Freemyer. The Braves most recently secured a 10-0 victory over Tabor in Hillsboro, continuing a strong start to the 2026 campaign.
The series presents a significant early-season test for Southwestern as it looks to build momentum in conference action. With three opportunities on the road, the Moundbuilders will try to slow a high-powered Ottawa squad and climb back into contention in the KCAC standings.
