WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern will host Hesston College on Tuesday at the Broadway Sports Complex as both teams look to build early-season momentum in a non-conference baseball matchup.
Southwestern enters the game with a 2-4 overall record and has played all six of its games against nonconference opponents. The Builders have shown balance at the plate, batting .311 as a team through six games while scoring 32 runs.
Gabe Rodriguez has led Southwestern offensively, hitting .583 with seven hits in 12 at-bats and three stolen bases. Nathan Perez has added a .556 average and five runs scored, while Sam Benz is hitting .500 with four doubles and five RBIs. Raisean Dorsey and Cole Van Stone have provided power, combining for four home runs and nine RBIs.
