Moundbuilders Wrap Up Spring Play at KCAC Tournament

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — Southwestern College closed out its season with a sixth-place finish at the KCAC Men's Stroke Play Championship, carding a four-round total of 1,218 (+66) at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course.

The Moundbuilders posted consistent team scores throughout the 72-hole event, opening with rounds of 306-306 on Monday, April 20, before improving to 300 on Tuesday and finishing with a 306 in Wednesday's final round.

Jordan Clancy led the way for Southwestern, finishing tied for 12th place with a four-round total of 299. Clancy recorded back-to-back 76s to open the tournament before closing strong with a 74 and a team-best 73 in the final round.

Cameron Surles and Nico Neuteboom each turned in totals of 301 to tie for 16th place. Surles rebounded from an opening-round 81 with a 71 in the second round and followed with scores of 72 and 77. Neuteboom opened with a team-low 72 and added rounds of 77, 75 and 77 to match Surles in the standings.

Christian Campbell finished tied for 34th with a total of 318, posting rounds of 77, 82, 80 and 79. Mitchell Lehman rounded out the lineup, placing 40th with a 331 after carding rounds of 83, 83, 79 and 86.

The tournament marked the final competition of the season for Southwestern, which showed steady play across all four rounds against conference competition.
