NEWTON, Kan. — Southwestern College closed out its 2026 spring season with a pair of top-15 individual finishes at the KCAC Women's Stroke Play Championship, held Monday through Wednesday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
Seniors Jodi Keener and Lauren Kelly represented the Moundbuilders as individuals, each competing in their final collegiate event across the three-day, 54-hole tournament.
Keener led the way for Southwestern, finishing tied for 12th with a three-round total of 259 (+43). She opened the tournament with an 82 before adding rounds of 86 and 91 to secure her place in the top 15.
Kelly followed closely behind, tying for 14th at 262 (+46). After posting an 89 in the opening round, she improved with an 85 on Tuesday and closed with an 88 in Wednesday's final round.
Kelly's performance at the conference championship capped a standout season for the senior, who was named to the All-KCAC First Team. She posted an 84.5 scoring average over 16 rounds and recorded three top-three finishes across the fall and spring, including runner-up finishes at the Graceland Spring Invitational and the Southwestern College Fall Invite, along with a third-place showing at the Evangel Fall Invitational.
Both seniors concluded their collegiate careers with consistent performances on a course familiar to the Moundbuilders, as the two top-15 finishes highlighted a strong showing at the conference championship.
