MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Southwestern College men's golf team will make its final tune-up before the postseason this week when it travels to Manhattan, Kansas, for the Midwest National Invite, hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at Colbert Hills Golf Course. The Moundbuilders will play 36 holes on Monday beginning at 9 a.m., followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday with a 9 a.m. start.
Southwestern's lineup will feature Jordan Clancy, Cameron Surles, Christian Campbell, Sebastian Read and Drew Graham.
The event serves as the team's last competition before the KCAC Men's Stroke Play Championship, giving the Moundbuilders an opportunity to build momentum against a competitive field.
Clancy and Surles have led the way for Southwestern throughout the spring, providing consistency at the top of the lineup. Campbell, Read and Graham round out a group the Moundbuilders hope will continue to improve heading into conference play.
Colbert Hills, one of the premier public courses in the region, is expected to present a challenging test over the 54-hole format.
Following the Midwest National Invite, Southwestern will turn its focus to the KCAC championship, where it will look to carry over momentum gained from its final regular-season outing.
